Snapped by Nat C and Nick C

Wearing a shirt from vivienne westwood (vintage gift), a bag from gucci (vintage gift), raybans, a skirt from hong kong, shoes from kurt geiger, and a watch from guess.

Snapped a few pictures of my outfit on sunday with Nick and Nat when the sun was at it's best! I loveeeeeee swaying this skirt and running around in it..it's so flowy! The skirt is actually asymmetrical in case you haven't noticed, which is what sets it apart from my other sheer skirts in my closet. Looking back at this outfit, I really like the simplicity and casual-ness of it. What do you all think of it?

Waiting for the sunshine

Joseph heart tank top layered under a vintage/thrifted blouse, bershka/aldo (last image) shoes, rebecca minkoff bag, page premium jeans, daydream nation crochet bracelet.

Feeling good today, and feel like posting an outfit I wore a few weeks back to see my sibling's concert. Love this blouse to death.

Fashion News: Emma Watson lines up in front of the Fashion Pack

Hi everyone, as you may know I often post about personal style, food, and inspiration. However, this post is going to be a tad different, as I will talk about.. fashion news! Here, I'm going to focus on super chic celebrity....Emma Watson! I love her face, and unique style...she's such a classy lady.
Although she’s best known for her role as dowdy Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, Emma Watson is quite the fashionista. Of course, fashion is very divisive, and the outfit she chose to wear to the premiere of her new film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, has generated mixed responses.

Emma strode down the red carpet of her premier wearing a Dior mini-dress over a pair of tailored slacks. Reminiscent of the almost forgotten 90s favourite, the ‘skouser’, the outfit was unsurprisingly controversial, generatingendless discussions across blogs and newspapers.

On the positive side, Look Magazine said: “Never one to disappoint in the fashion stakes, the ever-stylish Emma Watson shows us how to wear one of the hottest trends this winter – dresses worn over trousers.” Popular fashion blog My Fashion Life also appreciated Emma’s look, saying: “It’s a bit of a sartorial risk, but that’s what we like to see from Young Hollywood on the red carpet”. Marie Claire also praised the star, headlining their article: “Emma Watson is ahead of the fashion pack at Perks of Wallflower screening”.

While the fashion press have praised Emma’s risky outfit choice, mainstream news outlets see the outfit as something you would probably wear as Halloween fancy dress rather than a red carpet look.
The Metro ran with the headline “Emma Watson has rare fashion fail at Perks Of Being A Wallflower screening”, while The Express ran an article showcasing all of the young actress’ fashion hits and misses.

Tongue-in-cheek gossip blog, Holy Moly!, added their two cents, calling for Emma to “sack the stylist”, going on to add “this Dior dress is adorable on its own. Paired with a good shoe and edgier styling, this could have been an A*red carpet moment for Emma. Paired with pointy-toed stilettos and slacks, she looks like she’s raided the ‘parents’ evening’ section of your mum’s wardrobe.”

Emma has a background in fashion, having modelled for Burberry and won the Elle Style Icon award in 2011. So although many newspapers and blogs are calling her outfit choice a ‘fashion disaster’, it may just be the next big trend to sweep the UK – watch this space!

So what do you think of this look, is it a hit or miss? I think that she should have cropped the trousers.

Hope you enjoyed this mini article!

The World it Seems So Far Away..

What I wore to school today was my DIY fringe shirt, reggae necklace from malaysia, guess watch, and a cotton on skirt.

Today was just one of those typical school days where I just wanted to feel relaxed. In fact...those days usually happen 80% of the time, due to my..um..lack of sleep that every IB student has to survive through. This morning, I woke up wanting to wear fringe, but hating the braided sleeves that I added onto this shirt (pretty sure I wore it previously in one of my blog posts, but I can't find it!)so finally, I took the scissors, snipped the sleeves off, and waaalaa! <- yeah that's pretty much the only interesting story about my outfit today, beside the fact that I felt like posting this post.

Arcade blues, Red bliss, Autumn heat.

Here I'm wearing an h&m beanie, rebecca minkoff bag, ancient (my old random) bracelets, daydream nation tee, maple trousers, vintage superego shoes, and necklaces from malaysia/singapore - self diy.

Hi everyone sorry for not getting this post up quickly! But I wore this outfit out and about on sunday. Despite the autumn heat hitting in hong kong, I opted to wear a warm wooly beanie because....I felt like it. Whenever I feel like wearing something anyway...i'll just.. do it despite what others say. That's the thing about me, you can't prevent me from wearing what I want! It's an old habit I had since a kid. My favourite photo is of the hair flipping by the way. Because it's so flipping (pun intended) awesome. Thanks Nick!

SIMPLE DIY old ruffle top

Before it was diy-ed:

Simple, simple diy old ruffle top to a crop top.

Jar of hearts

New In! Gladly received this cute n' funky denim jacket/button up by Henry Holland for Debenhams. Currently heart swooned over this! Reminded me of the song "jar of hearts" by christina perri which kept on repeating in the place I interned in during summer. Surprisingly...the song's still freaking addicting and not freaking annoying. Definitely can't wait to wear this jacket out, and style it in various ways (of course) for the colder weather. HK heat, you need to GTFO. Oh wait..now...I need.. to GTFO and finish my math assessment, fingers crossed that I manage complete it by tomorrow!

Langham food and wine festival!

Wearing a random dress, a crochet bracelet from daydream nation, bershka heels, a rebecca minkoff bag, and a guess watch.

Last week I was so happy that my parents took me to the bostonian restaurant for the food and wine festival! The food was amazing, especially the first dish, the starter was jaw dropping. I was so sad after I finished it, I swear I was like....can I have another one please?? My outfit that day was very into the tropical theme. Was thinking of the song remix of "the island by pendulum", by starfuckers. It's really amazing thinking of using it for my runway music. Any other songs you guys know which are really cool upbeat runway music.
